Septic system failure frequency and probability increases with time. The combination of modern design requirements and alternative technology has promoted this situation. As a result, it is more important than ever to have an invasive evaluation of a septic system performed as part of your pre-purchase inspection. This is typically scheduled at the same time as the home inspection – so be sure to make arrangements for this. While it adds to inspection costs, it is crucial for your investment to fully understand the condition of the property that you plan to purchase.
