In this ever-changing real estate environment, it is essential to minimize the “surprise” factor in each transaction. It is important to understand the strengths and the weaknesses of each property that you, as a new homeowner may be considering. John takes a holistic approach to his property inspections, in that he not only explores the details of every property and educates you as the new homeowner, but also comes up with a working plan to refer to for the future as you live in your home and make upgrades and changes.
My first dealing with John was approximately fifteen (15) years ago. He had been engaged by a homeowner as an expert in an arbitration proceeding involving alleged structural deficiencies in the construction of a new (post and beam) home in which I represented the builder. He impressed me with not only his knowledge of the facts and the engineering issues presented, but his presentation as well. As a result of that initial experience I have since both referred clients to him, as well as engaged his services on behalf of clients as an expert in connection with various construction matters over the years, including litigation before the New Hampshire Superior Court. In each and every instance his knowledge, experience, preparation and desire to meet the needs of the client have been exceptional. – Beliveau, Fradette, Doyle & Gallant, P.A.www.beliveau-fradette.com
This isn’t my first home – I’ve relocated more than once; this is my fourth home purchase. Yet this is the first time I feel that I truly understand the basics of the house’s structure, strengths and weaknesses. As an aging, single homeowner, home maintenance with this purchase is a much larger concern that it was with my first purchase over 25 years ago. Your explanations to me were clear, and the report provided is extremely informative and instructional – I feel like I have a road-map for successful home maintenance that completely eliminates my concerns over my ability to keep up with it.
Upon completion of the home inspection, John had identified a couple of structural components that needed to be addressed, in order to preserve the integrity of this historic building that was about to become my clients’ first home. These issues were not easily identifiable… My clients were able to negotiate on these structural components, getting the sellers to contribute towards the cost of addressing the issues, now ensuring that this home will continue to protect them and their family for years to come. John Turner is integrity, knowledge, and safety.
I hired Nancy Nichols from Team Engineering to help me deal with ice dam issues with my condo. Nancy was thorough and timely with her inspections and reports. She also took the time to answer my questions and explain the underlying issues and her recommendations. Nancy is the consummate professional. I would definitely hire her again and recommend her to my family and friends.
Our engineer, Terry Terry, was incredibly thorough in his assessment of our future home and the report provided by the company not only gave us an in-depth assessment of the home, but also outlined an easily understandable maintenance plan for us to follow to ensure that the home remains in excellent condition for decades to come. We cannot recommend Team Engineering highly enough!
